Teacher Mrs Bartie
I left Gisborne in 2013 to undertake a BSc in Biological Sciences in at the University of Waikato in Tauranga. While I was there I learnt to dive and got to spend 2 weeks in Papua New Guinea exploring the coral reefs. After I finished my degree in 2015 I applied for and was awarded a Scholarship to study my MSc in Aquaculture in Europe. Through this degree I spent 2 years studying different kinds of Aquaculture in the UK, Greece and France, I also spent a lot of time travelling throughout Europe. After I finished my MSc I was offered and Internship with Scottish Sea Farms which, after 5 months, turned into a permanent job. I moved to Shetland for a year before relocating to Orkney at the beginning of 2020 where I now currently work and live. I spend any free time I have travelling and exploring. I have been back to Gisborne twice in the past 5 years and try to visit as often as possible.
I was visiting my future primary school on the day I made my tile.
